EPISODE TEASER
I bring you into an evening. I was with my friend, and we were playing a card game—not a usual board game. It’s a card game where each card has a question or a prompt, and everyone is invited to share about that topic. It’s a game designed to spark deeper conversations. There are many cards, and there was one that I really liked and wanted to propose to the group. It went like this: Something I wish I had been told as a child. What’s your response to this?

TRANSCRIPT: Something I wish I had been told as a child
Do you ever find yourself not doing what you truly feel is right for you? Doing things in a way that is expected of you or recommended to you, instead of what feels true to you? Do you struggle to reach the results you’d like in life because you’re following a path that doesn’t really feel like yours?
If so, you might be interested in what I’m going to share today. It’s a key quality that I help my clients develop—an essential ingredient for your inner space, because this podcast is called The Inner Space, after all. It’s about you and something incredibly important to guiding yourself in life in a powerful, connected, and aligned way.
I’m curious—do you already have an idea of what this key quality might be?
To share with you how I came to do this episode, beyond my knowledge and experience of this topic, let me take you back to that evening with my friend. We were playing a card game, one that initiates deep conversations. I picked up a card that I liked and proposed it to the group. It asked: Something I wish I had been told as a child.
I’m really curious—what’s your response to this? If you wish to share or comment, please do.
As we went around the group, of course, since I had chosen the card, something came up for me. I started to share.
What I wish I had been told as a child is: Trust yourself. Really trust yourself.
Because we are born with inner guidance. Each of us already has an inner guidance system, a GPS. It’s built-in. I remember sharing that I would have really loved for someone to imprint this into me, to encourage me to trust myself deeply.
One of my friends asked, Yeah, but I’m curious—how do you develop that inner knowing, that self-trust?
That’s exactly what I shared. As I said before, we are born with this system inside us. So it’s not about learning something—it’s more about unlearning.
What disconnects us from ourselves? It’s largely our education—whether through school, parents, primary caregivers, or life experiences. Unfortunately, most schools and education systems are not designed to initiate children into themselves. And what a wonderful society it would be if they were! I hope to contribute to that change.
So if you’re seeking that connection to yourself, know this: you already have it inside. You don’t need to look for it outside of yourself. Truly. You have it within you.
To trust yourself, you first need to hear yourself. That’s why The Inner Space exists—I help my clients tune back into themselves. I create that space where they can begin to listen to themselves. Because I hear the whispers, I feel what’s happening inside of them—even when they don’t feel it themselves. Step by step, they can be guided back to what’s within them, whether that’s their intuition, their heart, their emotions, or their gut feelings.
We all have an inner guidance system, but the way it communicates varies from person to person.
One of the things that has helped me immensely in guiding both myself and my clients is Human Design. If you’ve never heard of it, I invite you to explore it. You can even generate your own Human Design chart for free—just search for free Human Design chart. It will produce a chart that you might not understand at first, and that’s completely normal! I’m trained in Human Design, so I know how to read it, but in the beginning, I didn’t.
Human Design will introduce you to what’s called your authority and your strategy. Be a bit careful when searching online, though. Some descriptions may not be very empowering, and you might misunderstand them. If you’d like a professional perspective on how you operate, reach out. I offer personalized Human Design readings, which can be incredibly helpful. I remember a client telling me, Oh, I had read about it, but it wasn’t very reassuring. That’s because the way information is presented can sometimes be confusing or disempowering.
Now, coming back to the topic of self-trust—I mean in every area of your life.
For me, self-trust was especially challenging in areas where I felt I had less knowledge, less experience—where I tended to seek external advice, believing others knew better than I did.
In what areas of your life do you struggle with self-trust? Maybe in relationships, where past failures have made you doubt your ability to create great connections? When that happens, you start following other people’s guidance instead of your own. But that will never truly work—unless you work with someone who doesn’t project their own system onto you.
That’s why I call this podcast The Inner Space. Because that’s how I support my clients—by holding space for you, so you can guide yourself.
I encourage you to reflect:
Where in my life am I not trusting myself?
Why? What stories come up?
What would be the first step toward trusting myself more?
For some of you, it might start with simply listening inward—so that you can actually hear yourself.
I often say, There’s listening, and then there’s listening.
At first, you start to hear your inner voice. But then, there’s a deeper level—when you know something isn’t right, but you still do it anyway. Or when you sense another way but ignore it.
Your body is communicating. The question is: are you listening?
And here’s something crucial: don’t seek self-trust in your mind.
What do I mean by that?
Sometimes, people tell me, Gloria, I just don’t trust myself. But what they’re actually doing is trying to convince themselves of something in their mind, while their body is saying something different. Self-trust isn’t about mentally convincing yourself—it’s about feeling into your body’s wisdom.
Trusting yourself takes courage. It might feel safer to follow a well-trodden path, one that others have already approved and certified as “the right way.” But that path may not be your path—because it doesn’t come from within.
So if I could go back and tell my younger self one thing, as a child, as a teenager, and even as an adult, it would be this:
Gloria, trust yourself. Trust yourself. Trust yourself.
